This is a very determined, stubborn and practically innovative combination. Uranus in Taurus periods may be characterized by considerable economic changes and shifts in people’s values. During the last transit, the world recovered from the Depression but then was plunged into the Second World War. People could not rely on keeping any material security they may have built up, as many were cut off from their land and possessions. One possession that all people have is their body and the safety of that could not be relied upon either. But in the struggle to maintain life, people had an opportunity to free themselves from their more materialistic shackles. In terms of wealth and land, whether by accident or design, the move may be towards a more level playing field with Uranus here. The onset of rationing meant that people in many Western countries became more independent in terms of growing their own food.
